The ERC Artivism Team is writing a comic book as part of the research project “Art and Activism. Creativity and Performance as Subversive Forms of Political Expression in Super-Divers Cities”. In the comic book, we address our ethnographic experiences and present our methodology of employing multi-sensory, participatory (apprenticeship), graphic and audio-visual methods.
In the Comic workshops we are organizing, we pursue two main objectives: to reflect on how to communicate our research findings in a graphic way and to learn to make a comic book based on anthropological research: to pitch the ideas, write the synopsis, the scenario, and the storyboard, and thus to create a(n) (ethno)graphic narrative in collaboration with a comic artist.
The second comic workshop took place on January 26 in the afternoon.
