In Winter 2020, the ERC-ARTIVISM research and film team returned to Viareggio to participate in the two last corsi of the carnival, attend the proclamation of the victories and follow the most important carnival of the rione, in the harbor district Darsena. The winner of the first category is the Compagnia del Carnevale – Lebigre and Roger family’s float “Home Sweet Home” which represented Greta Thunberg as Dorothy from Frank Baum’s fairytale “The Magic of Oz”. Luca Bertozzi won the first prize in the second category with his tiger family “A caccia di un lieto fine”. The team was glad to follow the announcement and party of the carristi at the Citadella del carnevale.
